More Wildflowers in 2009

Great Outdoors is working to improve Knowsley's environment and giving people better contact with nature. We are using wildflowers to make our parks and greenspaces healthier places, encouraging wildlife and creating beautiful spaces for us to relax, exercise, meet friends, play, and learn about nature - right on the doorstep. Attractive meadows of colourful wildflowers get people outdoors, increase local pride and help to combat the stress of life. Over time, wildflowers can help to change behaviour and encourage healthier lifestyles. The National Wildflower Centre in Court Hey Park, Knowsley, is the ' natural centre' for our health and wellbeing activities.

Old Rough (Quarry Green), Northwood
