There are 24 species of bumblebee in the UK, each with specific needs for food and habitat. This bumper collection of 20 wildflower species contains seeds to produce plants for a variety of different bumblebees. Many bumblebees rely on short tubed and flat flowers such as meadow buttercup. Bombus hortorum (common garden bumblebee) have longer tongues and can therefore feed on longer tubed flowers such as red campion. Heavier bumblebees such as Bombus lapidarius (red-talied bumblebee) need more stable landing platforms provided by scabious and knapweeds.

This collection contains a packet of each of the following species. Mix together to create a mixture or sow in separate areas:

Betony, Bluebell, Common Agrimony, Common Knapweed, Common Mallow, Cornflower, Cowslip, Field Scabious, Forget Me Not, Foxglove, Greater Birdsfoot, Greater Knapweed, Lady's Bedstraw, Meadow Buttercup, Oxeye Daisy, Red Campion, Sainfoin, Self Heal, Vipers Bugloss, Wild Marjoram
